PERSONAL EQUIPMENT

A large part of being in a living history organization is just that, the living history. The personal aspect of World War II is probably greater than any war in that everything; uniforms, gear, footlockers, etc. were stylish and part of the pop-culture of the time. The 5th Ranger Battalion is becoming one of the leaders of living history display, and whether it be in camp or in period barracks, we stay as 1940's accurate as possible. Personal hygiene items, period cigarettes, and other personal goods, whether in your haversack or in a footlocker will only help to accentuate your interpretation.

Below are some suggested personal items that you will eventually need and/or are items that you can purchase if you wish to add to your interpretation.
